Being only a child, Ana did not understand; therefore, she fasted and prayed for two months. During this time, she asked God for clarity. The will of God became clear to her. On December 26, 1999, she preached her first sermon at Weldon Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Andrews, South Carolina under the pastoral leadership of the late Rev. Thomas S. Lance. Ana went on to serve as a licentiate minister at Weldon Hill Missionary Baptist Church for fifteen years. This time preceded the passing of her spiritual father and pastor, Rev. Thomas S. Lance. She continued to evangelize under the leadership of Rev. William Boyd Jr.
While serving not only her local church, but also traveling the country, Ana earned a Master of Arts In Education from Concordia University (2016), her Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from the University of South Carolina Aiken (2011), and an Associate of Arts from Denmark Technical College (2009). She currently serves as an alumna of Denmark Technical College as well as the University of South Carolina Aiken and Concordia University.
In November of 2014, Ana Boyd and the late Mr. Quinten Blair united in Holy Matrimony. The ceremony was held in Cades, South Carolina of Williamsburg County and was officiated by Rev. Barney Heyward of Andrews, South Carolina, and Pastor Woodrow Nesbitt of Georgetown, South Carolina. From this union, the two share one son, Quinten James Blair Jr. (aka Bryson) Following their union, the couple established their lives in Augusta, GA. In May of 2015, the couple joined Good Shepherd Missionary Baptist Church of Augusta, Georgia under the pastoral leadership of Dr. Clarence Moore. She served as a daughter at Good Shepherd Missionary Baptist Church until after the passing of her husband, Mr. Quinten Blair on October 8, 2017.
On November 29, 2020, Ana became a licentiate of Greater St. Stephen African Methodist Episcopal Church of Georgetown, South Carolina under the leadership of Pastor. Dr. Carl L. Anderson. On August 19, 2022, she was admitted to the Palmetto Annual Conference of the AME 7th Episcopal District. Currently, Ana has served unwaveringly in ministry for twenty-three years. She lives her life according to Colossians 3:17, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” She has authored various book titles such as: The Art of Being A Woman, Memoirs of A Widow, and With My Hands Lifted High Worship Journal.
On July 18, 2022, after being a widow and a single mother for nearly five years, Femi (Femi) Opeyemi Kuye and Ana Boyd married in Accra, Ghana. After four years of a long term friendship and working together in business, the two joined in Holy Matrimony. She has never detoured from preaching the Gospel since her initial licensing on December 26, 1999. Even after 20 plus years later being planted from Missionary Baptist to African Methodist Episcopal, Ana continues to share understanding of God’s word to many. Today Mrs. Ana Boyd-Kuye has experienced twenty-four plus years of preaching and teaching the Gospel. She continues to preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
